Thanks for writing and sharing. I have a question: does applying to Grad School -feel- like active participation (initiating forward momentum?) or does it feel letting the momentum that’s out there take you? Or does my question feel besides the point?
I think it feels more like hooking into forward momentum that exists *out there* - like the river I'm in was approaching a dam and I needed to hop into another one to keep some sort of forward progress going in the broad direction I'm aiming at.
I'm a little skeptical that any of us can fully spin up our own momentum (that lasts) without something else to hook into (friends, family, grad school, god etc etc).
