Every Friday
after hours
Welcome to Relay after hours crew. The late night edition is a one-off: the team has been buried onsite with clients and work conferences but thank god the weekend has arrived.
We’re all taking a beat from work but we’ll be back to building shareholder value very soon. Some of us are running the Brooklyn half tomorrow morning (Jack), some of us are watching our friends run the Nashville half, and one of us will be hitting a prime tee time (Ian).
We’ve been thinking through the next season of Relay and all of its 200+ readers a lot recently. More soon. Thanks to everyone who has stayed with us.
Love to all the runners tomorrow xx

Top of Mind
you can literally just do things, (Relay)
I’ve recently been haunted by the TPOT trope that you can just do things. At all hours of the day, I’m stuck wondering why I’m not just doing things. Why haven’t I started building? Why are people less well positioned than me pulling ahead? The answer, of course, is agency, momentum, and the blind perseverance to just go.
I gotta just find it in myself to start. A $100 Claude subscription was acquired this week — expect me in the arena soon.

ICYMI: Happy Hour Edition
Drawing from the artist’s previous series made on hotel stationery, this new body of works further dives into McGregor’s exploration of the impermanent nature of the materials he utilizes. As echoed by the exhibition title LUNCH, the works in this series depict scenes of meals had alone or shared across multiple cities with other artists and are created on menus personally collected on the artist’s travels.

Thanks for reading—or for mega scrolling all the way down here.
The internet is an overwhelming mess of headlines, ads, and mid takes from the worst people you know. Big Tech owns our attention spans. Everything is content. Nothing makes sense.
We’re not here to “fix discourse” or “build a better internet.” Relay is just our attempt to riff on what we’re already talking about at happy hour without feeling like we’ve been hit by a content truck. Some analysis, some memes, call it a day.
You might like it. Tag along.
